Individual time trial

Time-trial timing with staggered starts: each clock starts when you hit START.

Time a time trial (ITT) from any authorised phone: riders off one by one with a visual countdown, each rider's live time from their own start, split points and finish, ranking by fastest time and an email to the rider the moment they cross the line. Start order or a rider who misses their slot make no difference: every time is exact.

Create my race β†’ Module from €39 per race

Time trials have their own headaches. This module clears them up.

What gets tricky when you time individual starts:

πŸ™‹

The rider who loses track of time and rolls off later than planned.

πŸ”€

The bibs go off out of order and the timing falls apart.

πŸ”—

Matching start and finish to work out each rider's real time is a puzzle.

βŒ›

Coordinating the starts every X seconds by hand is easy to muddle.

With START by bib, every clock begins exactly when the rider actually rolls off. Start order and missed slots stop being a problem.

Everything you can do

▢️

START by bib

Type the bib rolling off and hit START: that's where their real time begins, whenever they go and in whatever order.

⏳

Configurable visual countdown

Set the interval between riders (in seconds) and get an on-screen countdown, pausable, warning of the next start.

πŸ”—

Start, splits and finish

Each rider's time is worked out from their own start, at every control point and at the finish.

πŸ₯‡

Ranking by fastest time

The ranking sorts itself by each rider's elapsed time, with no manual maths.

πŸ“Š

Live times

The moment a rider crosses the finish, their time and the ranking update right away.

πŸ“§

Email at the finish

The rider automatically gets, right away, an email with their time and provisional ranking.

How it solves each problem

πŸ™‹ The rider who loses track and starts late

No problem: their time begins when you hit START, not by the planned schedule. Their clock is fair, even if they roll off outside their slot.

πŸ”€ The bibs go off out of order

You type the bib that actually rolls off each time; it need not be sequential. No more mix-ups from bibs out of order.

πŸ”— Matching start and finish

Each rider carries their exact start time; at the finish and splits the system works out the elapsed time from their roll-off on its own.

⏳ Coordinating the starts every X seconds

The visual countdown tells you when the next start is due, at the interval you set. Pause it whenever you want.

πŸ“§ Giving the rider their time right away

The moment they cross the finish they get their time and provisional position by email. Fewer questions, better experience.

Built for race day

  • βœ“ Any authorised phone: each point (start, splits, finish) with its own link and QR.
  • βœ“ Several start terminals at once, each with its own access.
  • βœ“ The first real start sets the event's start time automatically.
  • βœ“ Fail-safes: it won't let you repeat a bib or mark a finish for someone who never started.
  • βœ“ Finish times go straight through to the event's public results.
  • βœ“ Works with split points for per-rider splits.

It's this easy

1

Set the interval between riders and the planned start time.

2

At the start, type the bib and hit START.

3

At splits and finish, tap the bib as they pass.

4

Ranking by fastest time and an email to each rider.

Frequently asked questions

What if a rider loses track and starts later?

Their time begins when you hit START, not by the schedule. They go when they go and their clock is exact, with no penalty for being late to their slot.

And if the bibs go off out of order?

You type the bib that actually rolls off each time; it doesn't have to be sequential. The system doesn't fall apart over bibs out of order.

Can I time the race myself with a phone?

Yes. With the mobile timing module you set up checkpoints with QR codes and tap bib numbers from any phone; the times feed straight into the live results. You can also keep using your timing company and publish their results.

Is the countdown compulsory?

No, it's a configurable (and pausable) visual aid to coordinate the starts. Each rider's real time is set by the START.

How is each rider's time worked out?

From their own start to each split point and to the finish. The ranking is sorted by fastest elapsed time.

Does the rider get their time?

Yes. On crossing the finish they get an email with their time and provisional ranking.

Are the results published automatically?

Finish times and split times go straight to your event's public results (shown by the Results module).

Do I need hardware or an app to install?

No. It works with any phone: you open the point's link (or QR) and start timing.
