Bib handout app with QR codes for your race: no queues at collection.
Every entrant gets a QR in their email. On race day, your volunteers hand out the bibs from their phone: scan, confirm, done. You always know how many are left, who handed each one out and when, with the option to register latecomers on the spot.
The bib handout is your event's first impression. Don't let it be chaos.
If you've organised a race, you'll recognise these moments:
A paper list full of crossings-out where nobody knows who picked up the bib 214 they're asking about.
The runner who swears they haven't picked up their bib⦠when they did.
Someone walks off with a bib without having paid, and nobody notices until later.
The last-minute latecomer who turns up without an entry and you don't know how to give them a bib.
At the end, the usual question: how many bibs are left over and whose are they?
This module solves all five, with the phone as your only tool.
Everything you can do
Automatic QR in the email
Every entrant gets their code in the confirmation email, without you doing a thing.
All run from the phone
Your volunteers work from their authorised phones, as many as you need, and you forget about notes on paper and crossings-out.
Scan and confirm in 2 seconds
Point at the QR and the runner's card appears: name, bib, category and size clearly shown.
Search for whoever arrives without a QR
By surname, name, ID or bib. A forgotten email or a dead phone battery stop being a problem.
Pending-payment warning
If the runner hasn't paid, a red warning shows before you hand them the bib.
Group handout
A club picks up all its bibs at once, with a size summary to get the kit ready.
Identified volunteers
Each one gives their name or post at the start, so it's clear who made each handout.
Time and person for each handout
Every bib handed out records who gave it and at what time. Full traceability for any incident.
Undo with one tap
A mistake confirming? It's undone instantly, no fuss.
Built for the situations that really worry you
π The latecomer who turns up without an entry
Register the participant on the spot (with their details, cash payment in hand and a free bib) from the handout screen itself, without going to a computer.
π Last-minute bib transfer
If a bib already assigned doesn't show up, you can transfer it to someone else on the spot: the system asks and confirms before reassigning it.
πΆ Nobody walks off with a bib unpaid
The "pending payment" warning pops up before confirming, so the volunteer decides with the facts in front of them.
π Get the kit ready without guessing
The size shows up big when you scan, and in group handouts you get the summary of how many of each size have gone out.
π Know who's missing at close
At the end, you have the exact list of bibs not picked up, exportable to CSV for your records.
Real-time control, from the very first minute
- β Live counter: handed out / pending / total entrants, always visible.
- β The volunteer link is private and regenerable: if it leaks, you renew it and the old one stops working.
- β Several volunteers working at once, all on the same data.
- β The participant's full card is editable straight from the handout screen.
- β It doesn't need an advanced data connection: it works with any phone with a browser.
- β It doesn't feed stats or generate heavy PDFs: fast and light for event day.
It's this easy
On signing up, the runner gets their QR by email.
You pass the link to your volunteers, each with their phone.
They scan, search or register whoever turns up on the spot.
At close, you have the list of bibs not picked up ready.

Frequently asked questions
How does the bib collection app work?
Every entrant gets a QR code in their confirmation email. On race day your volunteers open the bib collection app on their phone, scan that code and the runner's details appear: name, bib number, category and shirt size. One tap confirms the handover, saving the time and who did it. If someone turns up without the QR code, you can search by surname, ID or bib number.
Does the volunteer need to install an app?
No. Your volunteers can go straight in from their phone's browser using the link you send them. That said, with the CronoMeta app (free on Google Play) the screen opens full size, without the browser bars, which is more comfortable for a full day at the bib desk.
What if a participant doesn't have their QR?
You search by surname, name, ID or bib and confirm the handout just as fast.
Can I register someone who turns up without an entry?
Yes. From the handout screen itself you can record their details, take cash payment and assign them a free bib, handing it over in the same move.
And if the bib I'm about to give already belongs to someone who didn't show up?
The system tells you who has it and asks if you want to transfer it. On confirming, it's freed from the previous holder and passes to the new participant.
Can you tell who handed out each bib and when?
Yes. Every handout is recorded with the time and the name or post of the volunteer who did it.
Can I hand out all of a club's bibs at once?
Yes, with group mode: you select several participants and hand them out together, with a summary of the sizes included.
What about someone who hasn't paid?
A red "pending payment" warning shows before confirming the handout, so you decide with the facts in front of you.
Start your event day with order, not chaos.
